Founded in 1917, this Ningyōchō institution is one of the neighborhood's most beloved stops for two things: ningyoyaki and Zeitaku Senbei. The ningyoyaki is small anko-filled (made with Hokkaido Tokachi azuki beans) sponge cakes molded into the faces of the Seven Lucky Gods. The second signature, Zeitaku Senbei ("luxury crackers"), gets its name from an era when eggs and sugar were considered extravagant ingredients. I love this place sm.
